About

I have been working and playing with computers and consumer electronics for over 3 decades. For many years I helped my co-workers with their computer problems. I was often asked: “Why don’t you start your own business?” I took the hint and started Personal Computer Tutor (PCTutor) in 1996 in the Washington, DC metro area to provide computer assistance to residents, home-based businesses and small businesses. In 2001 I moved to Colorado Springs with my wife who is originally from Pueblo, Colorado. In 2014 I changed my business name to Kerno.biz LLC.

When I first started out making house calls over 28 years ago I would work with one computer and maybe a Palm Pilot to sync data. Now many people have multiple devices (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.) and want all their contacts, calendars and photos to sync across their different devices. Therefore, my business has expanded from just computers to all consumer electronics.

I now offer technology help desk services to residents and small businesses in Colorado Springs, Colorado and remotely around the country. I specialize in troubleshooting, one-on-one tutoring, hardware and software setup, email setup, virus and malware removal and protection, maintenance, data backup, networks, buying advice, upgrades and repairs. I work with Windows, Mac, iOS and Android, Microsoft Office, Office 365 and Google Docs. I also work with all related technology devices such as smartphones, tablets, digital cameras, printers and scanners, HDTVs, streaming devices (Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Google Chromecast), TiVos, stereos with whole house speakers, GPS, etc. My goal is to provide professional, friendly, patient, supportive and discreet technology training and troubleshooting in-person or remotely.
